Drop off your phones, tablets, and laptops! You are getting in the Bush House Pangalanes Channel Hotel : The Mora Mora (Quiet in Malagasy) paradise! Located in the eastern part of Madagascar, the 15 bungalows are up to a white-sand beach on a tropical hill.

You must count 8 hours to come from Antananarivo, but it will be a rewarding experience and worth the effort. You can observe lemurs, discover our natural botanical wonders, go on a hike tour, or just enjoy the peace and quietness, away from the mass tourism!


Pangalanes Channel Hotel – Bush House is a small Ecolodge located in the east coast of Madagascar, on the Pangalanes Channel and more precisely on Ampitabe Lake: 3rd largest’ of the Pangalanes Channel.

A unique blend of nature offers both marine worlds within walking distance. Inland, there is a beautiful and quite clear water lake with a sand beach; while only five kilometers behind a narrow stretch of land separates the lake from the wild Indian Ocean!


Bush House – Pangalanes Channel Hotel offers 15 bungalows all equipped with:

  • Small Lounge
  • Terrace/Balcony with a view on the tropical forest or on the lake
  • Mosquito net
  • Bathroom and toilets
  • Hot Water provided thanks to a smart and ecological heating system.
  • Electricity from our generator: from 6 to 8 AM in the morning and from 5 to 10 PM in the evening


Pangalanes Channel is the place where clear-water lakes meet with the Indian Ocean.
Bush House – Pangalanes Channel Hotel is located in one of the most beautiful sites. The place where you will stay is called “Ankan’ ny’ nofy’: “The Nest of Dreams” in Malagasy.

You must do the hike to the top of the hill, you will enjoy a 360° angle-wide view with an amazing sample of blues and greens coloring the landscape.


The outside restaurant, which is sheltered under palm roofing, serves Malagasy, Creole and French food.

The bar offers a selection of drinks and cocktails, and of course the traditional local rum assortment.

At the lounge, you can play social games and nature lovers can know more about the natural surroundings thanks to our library.
