The Radisson Hotel group open the first Radisson hotels Madagascar. It will be the 32 implantation in Africa and 2nd in the Indian Ocean. 3 hotels for a total capacity of 254 rooms will be opened in Antananarivo. Antananarivo city’s ambition to become a hub in the Indian Ocean is more real now, in addition to the next opening of the new International Airport. The Radisson hotels Madagascar put the Malagasy capital in the high-range accommodation market, competing with the surrounding islands.
Radisson Group owns 89 properties and 17 000 rooms in Africa. This triple opening confirms the target of 130 properties and 23 000 rooms for 2020. These new Radisson Hotels Madagascar will be 2 existing hotels to be converted: Tamboho and Tamboho Suites, and one under construction. The 3 openings are in 2020.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront, under construction, will offer 121 standard rooms, 26 junior suites and 21 executives suites. The Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront (former Tamboho Hotel) has 30 standard and executives rooms. Both in an ideal location between the historical center and the business center of Antananarivo. The International Airport ride will last 30mn to one hour depending on the traffic. Antananarivo Waterfront, where the Headquarter of Boogie Pilgrim lies, is a quiet & secure zone bordering a lake.
