4WD EXPEDITION FROM THE CAPITAL TO THE NORTH
Another way to discover the North part of Madagascar is to drive along the National Road No.6 from Tana to Diego. This journey will enable you to admire the evolution of the beautiful landscape of the central highlands transformed gradually into secondary forest.
A small deviation to the National Road No.4 (about 50 km from Ambondromamy to the west) will also allow you to visit Ankarafantsika National Park. This park in the northwest of Madagascar is a mosaic of dense dry deciduous forest forests and wetlands, which are a haven for birdlife, Coquerel's sifaka, although Milne-Edwards lepilemur, the mongoose lemur, the western wolly lemur, the grey mouse lemur, the fat-tailed dwarf lemur, and the endemic golden-brown mouse lemur are also found in the park.
